Mármol is Alicia Gutiérrez Mármol’s most personal project. After a lifetime connected to contemporary art and cultural management, the idea of Mármol began to take shape naturally and organically—almost as a vital need.
Mármol was born as a space to create small editions with great artists: highly limited, thoughtful, and carefully crafted series with contemporary artists with whom the entire Mármol team connects on a level that goes beyond art and talent.
Everyone who takes part in Mármol, in one way or another, is part of Alicia Gutiérrez’s family—by blood or by choice—united by respect, admiration, and a shared passion for art.
Mármol promotes art, culture, music, and beauty as forms of connection, refuge, and expression.
I’ve often thought of myself as a rock that has crystallised. I’ve learned to embrace my imperfections, my cracks and my whirlpools, and appreciate all the beauty in them.
